Slack is a chat app for teams. We use slack to chat together and to send notifications to your phone when rare pokemon spawn nearby. Don't have slack? Don't worry, your welcome email will walk you through the super simple install/setup process.

THIS TEAM IS NOT JUST A POKEMON SCANNER!

We do our best to help team members find that elusive Hitmonlee, farm up enough candy for a Tyranitar, or just stock up on Snorlax candy 'till you can power him up to be a gym gorilla! But that is ++NOT++ what this team is all about. This team is about community, the notifications are just a bonus. Please get in the chat channels and get to know each other, let's keep pokemon go thriving!

THERE WILL BE SCANNER DOWNTIME!

Notifications are powered from a server running in my house. Sometimes when it storms power flashes and my server/scanner has to reset. Welcome to Southern Montgomery county right? Sometimes there's a problem with the code, or instability with how it is setup. Sometimes my wife is just tired of hearing it in my house (Have you ever actually HEARD a server run?). At any rate, although I do my best to keep the scanner up and running, sometimes it is down. Rarely is it down for very long though. Refunds (even partial) will not be given for scanner downtime. That is not the point of this team.

SCANNER FUNCTIONALITY COULD STOP AT ANY TIME

Let's be honest. Pretty sure Niantic isn't happy with the many clever ways people have found to scan for pokemon ever since pokevision shut down. There are many options out there. Houstonpokemap.com is one of my favorites (and inspriation for this team). If/when the scanner stops working, it stops working and that's the end of the story. Of course all efforts will be made to get it back up (This often happens when an update is forced). But it's inevitable that one day it will come to an end. If/when that happens we'll hope you choose to stay on the team for community support and connections. If you choose to leave though, we understand, don't forget to come back here to cancel your membership.
