What is a slack team?

We’re so glad you asked. Slack is a messaging platform that allows our Babes to chat with each other at any time of the day (or night!). Babes can discuss topics on certain channels (i.e. barter, events), or message each other directly for private conversations. Slack works on any browser or you can download the app on your phone or computer to make sure you never miss a beat! 24/7 Networking in the palm of your hand!

What is a channel?

We like to think of a channel as a group conversation for a specific topic. Each channel has a name, for example #barter, #helpwanted, #introductions that describes the conversation topic.

Take our barter channel for example, Babes use the barter channel to ask others for a certain good or service in exchange for something they’ll provide. So Claire might go to the Barter channel and ask “I’m looking for a photographer to take photos for my new website. In return I’ll teach a private yoga class for you and a friend.” This is a great example of a way to get something that you need for your business while also getting your name out there in the Babes network!
